Occupational Therapist

Job Overview: The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing therapy services to children with various physical, developmental, sensory, and cognitive challenges. The OT works to enhance the child’s ability to participate in daily activities by developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment: Conduct evaluations to assess a child’s abilities, challenges, and needs in areas like motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and cognitive functions.
Treatment Plans: Create individualized therapy plans based on the assessment results, involving the child’s family and teachers in goal setting.
Therapeutic Intervention: Provide hands-on therapy to improve motor skills, sensory regulation, social interactions, and self-care tasks (e.g., dressing, eating).
Collaboration: Work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to the child’s care.
Education and Support: Offer guidance on techniques and strategies to parents and caregivers to encourage progress at home and in school settings.
Monitoring Progress: Track and document each child’s progress, adjusting therapy plans and goals as needed.
Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and provide training for any necessary tools or modifications to support the child’s independence.
Qualifications:

Education: BSc Occupational Therapy
Licensing: Current DHA License
Experience: Experience working with children in a clinical, school, or outpatient setting is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of child development, pediatric conditions, and therapeutic techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Work Environment:

Clinic setting. Visits to school as and when required. Salary: 15,000AED/ month. Mon – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
