MedPro Staffing collaborates with a prominent mental health and wellness clinic/ hospital in Abu Dhabi to recruit for a skilled Arabic speaking Psychiatrist. The hospital, authorized by the Department of Health (DOH), is a leading holistic assessment center in Abu Dhabi, offering evidence-based methods and tailored treatment plans for holistic care.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Arabic speaking Psychiatrist in Abu Dhabi. The applicant will be responsible for;
Patient Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments through interviews, observations, and standardized tests.
Gather medical histories, including family history of mental health issues, and assess the psychological state of patients.
Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders.
Treatment Planning:
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis, needs, and personal preferences.
Recommend and administer psychiatric medications, such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers.
Provide psychotherapy (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoanalysis, or other therapeutic methods).
Medication Management:
Prescribe and monitor the effects of medications to ensure patients are receiving appropriate care.
Adjust prescriptions or explore alternative treatments if necessary.
Educate patients about the benefits, side effects, and risks of prescribed medications.
Collaboration and Referral:
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and general physicians, to create holistic treatment plans.
Make referrals to other specialists or facilities, such as inpatient care, when needed.
Patient Education and Support:
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
Provide emotional support to patients and help them develop coping mechanisms for dealing with mental health issues.
Crisis Intervention:
Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide urgent care in situations such as suicidal ideation or psychiatric breakdowns.
Help develop and implement safety plans for patients at risk of harming themselves or others.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential patient records in compliance with medical regulations and legal standards.
Document treatment progress, medication adjustments, and other relevant clinical information.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with a completed psychiatric residency program.
Licensing: Valid DOH license and board certification in psychiatry.
